Vaal University of Technology
Leading Innovative Knowledge and Quality Technology Education
Vaal University of Technology (VUT) derived its origins from the College of Advanced Technical Education and was established in 1966. In 2004, the new government found it fitting to establish the VUT, as one of six such institutions within the country, to focus on Science and Technology and the provision of high-level skills, not for the Vaal Triangle region and the country, but also the SADC region and the continent. The institution now boasts a student headcount of approximately 21 000.
VUT has a population of about 1 000 international students coming from over 35 countries and continues to grow.
